Anthony Linnerman and I went to see the James Bond movie, Spectre, in Rome that was playing for the last night in English in a cinema that was near the Spanish steps. I was worried we wouldn’t find it, directions aren’t as clear as they are here. It was interesting.
Over here, they keep the screening room shut until the movie starts, the screens are much smaller and the seats were comfortable but they don’t lean back which was ok. The funny part is they don’t eat food in their theatres…at all.
Anyway, on the way back to the apartment it was nice to walk on the roads you see in the movie. We were making our way back to the Metro and there was a display of Spectre and 007 for some jewelry and Anthony took a funny picture by that copying the Bond pose.
Definitely a different experience and the Italian subtitles were a great way to learn Italian too. Thank you to the “Wanted In Rome” expat site for the idea.
After our lengthy layover in Instanbul, it sure is good to be home in the USA!
